"As we did, you all made an pledge to protect and support this founding document," the officials stated in the brief video. "At present, the risks to our governing document are not only from abroad, but from within our own country. No one has to execute orders that contravene the statutes or our national charter."

The video message reportedly trigger a angry reaction from the ex-president.

On Thursday morning, Trump wrote on his social media platform: "This represents SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL. Each one of these traitors to our United States should be ARRESTED AND PUT ON TRIAL."

In a separate publication, he stated: "This constitutes really concerning, and Risky to our Nation. Their statements cannot be permitted to stand. SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR FROM TRAITORS!!! LOCK THEM UP???"

In a third publication, he stated: "SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR, punishable by DEATH!" He also shared a declaration that said: "HANG THEM GEORGE WASHINGTON WOULD !!"

Opposition Leaders Respond

Following Trump's statements on Thursday, House Democratic leader published a unified statement condemning the comments.

"Violent politics has no position in the United States," they wrote. "Representatives who were featured in the video all acted our United States with tremendous national pride and honor. We strongly censure Donald Trump's appalling and dangerous threats of violence against congressional representatives, and appeal to House Republicans to vigorously do the same."

The party representatives also mentioned that they had been in contact with protective services "to make certain the safety of these representatives and their families."

"Donald Trump must right away delete these radical digital publications and retract his dangerous rhetoric before he causes harm," the declaration stated.

Lawmakers' Defiant Reaction

The officials who were featured in the video also released a statement.

"We are veterans and defense specialists who care for this country and made an vow to defend and support the founding document of the United States," they declared. "Our pledge lasts a lifetime, and we aim to keep it. No intimidation, intimidation, or promotion of aggression will prevent us from that important obligation."

"The most revealing aspect is that the president considers it punishable by execution for us to repeat the legal requirements," they added. "Our service members should understand that we have their backs as they carry out their vow to the constitution and responsibility to adhere to only proper directives. It is not only the correct thing to do, but also our obligation."

They stated: "Every American must join forces and censure the former president's demands for our execution and ideological conflict. This is a moment for ethical certainty."

Further Political Comments

The Democratic Senate minority leader also condemned Trump's remarks and published on digital platforms: "We must be absolutely clear: the former president is requesting the execution of government members."

He added: "This represents an clear THREAT. Each congressional member, each house member, every American – irrespective of political affiliation – should censure this immediately and unconditionally."

The Republican House speaker defended Trump's allegation that the Democrats had participated in "sedition", labeling the video as "extremely improper", stating: "This represents very dangerous, you have prominent officials of the legislature instructing troops to disobey orders, I think that is unprecedented in American history."

The Republican leader also reportedly told media outlets that in what he read of Trump's posts, Trump was "describing the offense of rebellion" but that "lawyers have to analyze the wording and establish all that."

Executive Branch Response

During a executive branch meeting on Thursday afternoon, when questioned by a reporter, "Is the president want to kill elected officials?", the executive branch representative replied: "Absolutely not."

"Let's be clear about what the ex-commander in chief is addressing," the spokesperson declared. "You have active officials of the federal government who worked together to orchestrate a video message to members of the US military, to serving soldiers urging them to ignore the commander in chief's legal commands."

She added: "The purity of our armed forces depends on the command structure, and if that system is violated, it can lead to people getting killed, it can cause disorder, and that's what these members of Congress ... are essentially encouraging."
