Previous BBC advisers speaking before parliamentary committee

We open with inquiries from Conservative MP the committee chair, that oversees the committee.

She commences by providing details to the unauthorized document written by Michael Prescott and published in the Telegraph.

"I do not desire the British Broadcasting Corporation tilting toward one side or the other, My only wish is for it straight, fair and just," he states.

When asked whether he considers the BBC is institutionally biased, he responds: "Absolutely not. It is important to note, a great deal the BBC does is top-tier - both documentary and entertainment shows."

But he adds: "There is substantial tasks that must be undertaken at the British Broadcasting Corporation."

The second ex-adviser BBC consultant interviewed by the panel, Caroline Daniel, says she takes the BBC very seriously and that it has a "ongoing system and vigorous discourse" regarding evolving and intricate topics.

"Whether the BBC was ready to have a genuine conversation and argument and act accordingly?" she questions. "In my view, yes they were."
